GAS PIPELINE EXPLOSION ROCKS EGYPT’S 6TH OF OCTOBER CITY: PM LAUNCHES URGENT INVESTIGATION

A devastating gas pipeline explosion triggered a massive fire on Wahat Road in Egypt’s 6th of October City Wednesday evening, prompting Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli to order an immediate emergency response and investigation.

The Prime Minister has established a technical committee to determine the cause of the explosion while directing authorities to provide urgent medical care for those injured in the blast. Victims have been transferred to nearby hospitals as officials work to contain the situation in affected neighborhoods.

Madbouli has instructed teams to swiftly remove debris and assess damage in the area while ordering rapid compensation for victims. The Prime Minister extended his condolences to the families of those affected by the disaster.

Details regarding casualties and the extent of damage remain limited as emergency crews continue their response efforts. Officials have not yet indicated what may have caused the pipeline rupture.
