Ghana Gas and Public Oversight Committee Strengthen Energy Sector Transparency Partnership

The Public Interest and Accountability Committee has reinforced its collaborative relationship with Ghana National Gas Company Limited through a high-level delegation visit aimed at promoting transparency and operational efficiency in Ghana’s energy sector. Committee Chairperson Constantine Kudzedzi led the delegation to the Gas House in Accra for discussions on critical sustainability issues.

Ghana Gas CEO Judith Adjobah Blay, along with her deputies Dr. Robert Lartey and Mr. Rene Nelson, received the PIAC delegation for comprehensive discussions on institutional collaboration. The engagement emphasized the importance of continuous partnership between both organizations to ensure effective management of Ghana’s natural gas resources and promote sustainable development in the energy industry.

Kudzedzi commended Ghana Gas for its consistent compliance with PIAC’s oversight obligations, particularly noting the company’s timely submission of reports that enhance sector accountability. The praise reflects Ghana Gas’s commitment to transparency and good governance practices in managing national energy resources.

Blay reaffirmed the company’s longstanding relationship with PIAC and reiterated Ghana Gas’s dedication to supporting the Committee’s oversight mandate.
