The 15th Junior Achievement Africa (JA Africa) Company-of-the-Year competition has brought together high-school entrepreneurs from across the continent to present innovative business ideas addressing community challenges. Participants represent countries including Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Rwanda, Uganda, Mauritius, and Eswatini.

The theme, “ACT!”, encourages youth to develop socially responsible, sustainable ventures in areas such as climate adaptation, digital solutions, and local enterprise. Many initiatives combine technology, environmental awareness, and social impact.

Participants receive mentorship, networking opportunities, and business-development guidance, preparing them for leadership roles in the continent’s evolving economic landscape.

Analysts note that empowering youth entrepreneurs promotes employment, reduces inequality, and strengthens community resilience by channeling energy into constructive development.

Peace-oriented organizations view the competition as a vital mechanism for nurturing future leaders, promoting economic opportunity, and supporting social stability across African communities.
