The Global Centre on Adaptation (GCA), in partnership with a leading African university, awarded small grants to 15 youth-led organizations to strengthen local climate adaptation initiatives. Projects include sustainable agriculture, water management, land restoration, and community education programs.

The initiative empowers young Africans to design solutions that address climate challenges while building community cohesion and environmental stewardship.

Training and mentorship accompany the grants, enabling youth innovators to replicate successful models across regions and influence local and national climate policies.

Experts say youth-led climate action strengthens resilience, creates employment in green sectors, and fosters intergenerational responsibility.

For peace-oriented organizations, supporting such initiatives highlights the importance of youth engagement, social inclusion, and environmental justice as pathways to stability and sustainable development.
