African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Mr. Sowore Omoleye, has said that the time for cabal monopoly in politics is almost over and that he is ready to change the focus of politics in the country if voted to power in the forthcoming presidential election.
Addressing a gathering of party supporters in Kano, Saturday, Omoleye said with the current dismal turn of events in the country, Nigerians are in dire need of a messiah who can liberate them from the yoke of poverty, hunger and inequality which had been responsible for the spectre of insecurity permeating the nation.
According to him, lack of focused, credible and responsive leadership is Nigeria’s major albatross and that he is ready to effect a positive paradigm shift that would put the country on a promising pedestal in the way every citizen would have a sense of belonging.
He said, “when in the year 2019 we said it was time for revolution then, and if at the end if the day nothing changes, we would still call for revolution. I have been in detention for five months and still stood my ground, if things did not change as expected, poverty and inequality have been responsible for the current spate of insecurity”, he posited.
“We’re all out and hell-bent to change the face of politics and break elites’ monopoly in politics. we were no doubt ruined by the penchant of some self-centered individuals to siphon the wealth belonging to Nigerian citizens. their major preoccupation is to milk the economy of the nation dry at the expense of the people” he added.
“We won’t allow such a mess to happen this time around. the elite are still hell-bent on using money to buy voters and the votes in their possession. If we allow such an ugly scenario to rear its ugly head, the result would surely be catastrophic. If we come on board, the agenda we have designed for Nigerians would be quite acceptable and eventually have an impact on the life of every citizen,” he retorted.
“We are going to address the rot in the education sector. Nowhere in the world had a university system collapsed for eight good months. we would also address the problem of power for the moribund economy to pick up. we would also design a coherent housing policy for the benefits of those who did not own a shelter”, he said.
