Angola’s oil and gas production saw notable increases in October 2025 compared to September levels, with gains recorded across oil, associated gas, and gas by-products. The country also witnessed rapid advancements in offshore and onshore drilling activities, reflecting the nation’s drive to bolster long-term production.

In the oil sector, Angola recorded its highest daily production on October 3, with output reaching 1,121,649 barrels. Total production for the month was 33,057,447 barrels, representing an increase of 1,709 barrels compared to September. Block 17 accounted for the largest share of oil production at 352,101 barrels per day, followed by Block 15 at 177,145 barrels per day and Block 32 at 127,080 barrels per day.

In the gas sector, associated production reached 92,953 million cubic feet in October, showing an increase of 1,675 million cubic feet compared to the previous month. Daily production averaged 2,998 million cubic feet, with 1,330 million cubic feet reinjected to maintain reservoir pressure, 896 million cubic feet transported to the Angola LNG plant, and 357 million cubic feet used for power generation. The ALNG plant, the country’s sole operating LNG facility, saw a five percent increase in production during October, with daily output reaching 153,045 barrels of oil equivalent.

During October, 12 drilling units were active in Angola across both offshore and onshore margins. Operations included two land-based rigs at FS/FST Associations and the Cabinda South Block, four shallow-water rigs, and six deepwater units. Work was carried out on 28 wells, including one exploration well, one injection development well, one suspended well, and 20 production development wells.
