PetroNor E&P has announced it is withdrawing from the exploration licence for Block A4 in The Gambia. The initial exploration phase of the licence expired during mid-November 2025, and the company had been in discussion with the Government of The Gambia regarding future options.
Following the conclusion of these discussions, the company confirmed it is relinquishing its rights to the licence. PetroNor E&P expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, the Petroleum Commission, and its partner GNPC for their support and close collaboration over the past years of the licence term.
