The National Oil Corporation has announced that Harouge Oil Operations successfully placed well B-119 at the Amal Field into production, delivering an output of around 1,100 barrels per day as part of the Corporation’s strategic plan to boost national oil production.
According to the NOC, drilling of the well reached a depth of 10,250 feet and was completed in 45 days. Due to low reservoir permeability, hydraulic fracturing was carried out before technical teams connected the well to the production line and installed both gas and oil lines. The well is now operating using gas lift to maintain stable production levels.
