The National Oil Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding with SLB (Schlumberger) aimed at strengthening sustainable development projects and better connecting the oil sector with Libya’s economic, environmental, and social development needs.
According to the NOC, the memorandum establishes a framework for cooperation in implementing development projects that serve local communities, particularly those located near oil fields and operational sites. The agreement also includes initiatives to support and improve educational institutions as part of the sustainable development programs adopted by the corporation.
The partnership represents a growing trend among oil companies operating in Libya to invest in the communities where they operate, addressing local needs while maintaining their operational presence in the country.
