The Chief of Army Staff, COAS, LT-Gen Tukur Yusuf Buratai was honoured as the Most Outstanding Chief of Army Staff Tuesday, 25 February 2020 by Society Watch Magazine
The event took place at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja.
The award was presented to COAS in recognition of his effective leadership in the containment of banditry, terrorism and insurgency in Nigeria.
At the event, the Nigerian Army was awarded the Best Government Institution of the Year.
Brig.-Gen. Timothy Olowomeye, the Director of Civil Military Affairs, DCMA received the award on behalf of COAS
The event was attended by personalities from different walks of life including the the Gov of Nasarawa State, represented by the Dir. Strategic Communication and Press Affairs, Alhaji Yakubu Lamai, representative of Hon. Minister of State for Agriculture and representative of Hon. Minister of State Petroleum Resources, representative of COPP, Brig Gen PO Ilodibia among others.
The award ceremony ended successfully.
