Libya’s National Oil Corporation concluded a two-day technical and financial meeting with the Arabian Gulf Oil Company at AGOCO’s Benghazi headquarters, reviewing operational and financial performance alongside the company’s production growth plan for 2026-2027.

Technical departments covering safety, reservoir engineering, production and drilling presented on operational activities, maintenance programmes and ongoing projects, while participants also reviewed expenditure indicators and budgets for 2024, 2025 and the first half of 2026, along with digital transformation initiatives. A foreign partner presented its future development, drilling and production plans for the Nafoura field in Contract Area 91.

Departments stressed the need for adequate funding of delayed projects and infrastructure rehabilitation, and participants closed the meeting by emphasising the importance of expediting priority projects and securing the financial and institutional support needed to maintain current production levels and meet future targets.
