Kosmos Energy has boosted production at Ghana’s offshore Jubilee field after bringing its J76 well online, the third completed under this year’s drilling campaign, now delivering around 20,000 barrels a day gross.
Jubilee output averaged about 72,000 barrels a day in the second quarter and climbed above 85,000 barrels a day by the period’s end. Kosmos has also finished drilling the J77 well, expected to start up soon and push field output toward 90,000 barrels a day, with a final 2026 producer, J50, due online later in the year alongside a new water injector to support future drilling.
Elsewhere in its portfolio, Kosmos lifted nine LNG cargoes from the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project off Mauritania and Senegal during the quarter, and completed the sale of its Ceiba and Okume assets in Equatorial Guinea to Panoro Energy. Net debt fell to about $2.56 billion by quarter-end, more than $400 million below where it stood at the end of 2025, with chairman and CEO Andrew Inglis crediting improved seismic data and reservoir modelling for the strong showing at Jubilee.
