TDI-Brooks, a U.S.-based geophysical and geotechnical survey company, has successfully concluded a seismic survey for Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC). The operation involved 2D ultra-high-resolution (2DUHR) seismic site surveys and pipeline route assessments offshore Nigeria.

Conducted on behalf of Compass Survey, the project gathered conventional geophysical data and high-resolution seismic imagery to identify potential drilling hazards and optimize pipeline routing.

The survey was executed using the R/V Proteus vessel, which assessed seabed conditions to ensure safe well site clearances and mitigate operational risks. The vessel will continue operations in Nigeria through Q1 and Q3 for additional survey projects.

TDI-Brooks currently operates three vessels in West and Southwest Africa. The R/V Nautilus is engaged in a deepwater geotechnical project off Namibia, while the R/V Gyre is conducting environmental and geotechnical projects in Northwest Africa. After undergoing equipment upgrades in 2024, the company’s fleet has been deployed for various offshore assignments, including seep-hunting projects in Suriname.
