Sintana Energy has taken concrete steps toward listing on the Namibia Securities Exchange (NSX), engaging IJG Securities as its sponsor and corporate advisor and initiating formal discussions with the exchange — a move its leadership describes as a historic opportunity for Namibians to own a direct stake in their country’s offshore energy future.
The company intends to use the listing to develop liquidity for local investors, making Sintana the first oil and gas company to offer Namibians direct participation in the country’s rapidly developing offshore sector.
“It has always been my vision to see Namibians — especially our youth — become true participants in the wealth that lies beneath our own soil and waters. This is more than a financial opportunity; it is a chance for young Namibians to diversify their futures, to build generational wealth, and to hold a direct stake in the energy story that will define our nation for decades to come.” — Knowledge Katti, Director of Sintana and Chairman of Custos Energy
Katti added that the initiative aligns fully with Namibia’s Sixth National Development Plan, particularly its focus on youth empowerment and wealth creation for vulnerable communities.
Robert Bose, CEO of Sintana, said the listing comes at a pivotal time given upcoming activity across the company’s offshore portfolio. The NSX’s CEO, Tiaan Bazuin, welcomed the move, saying the exchange stands ready as a conduit for Namibians to participate in the shareholding of their natural resources.
