Leading European fuel equipment manufacturer Petrotec is intensifying its support for Angola’s downstream energy development through advanced technological solutions and strategic collaboration with national oil company Sonangol.
In a significant knowledge exchange initiative, Petrotec hosted a high-level Sonangol delegation across its European facilities in 2024, showcasing the latest innovations in fuel mobility technology. The comprehensive tour included visits to Petrotec’s research and development center featuring future mobility technologies, its innovation hub displaying advanced forecourt equipment, and its new industrial facility in Póvoa de Lanhoso that will manufacture next-generation electric vehicle chargers under the Hellonext brand.
The partnership aims to enhance Angola’s growing fuel infrastructure as the nation works to expand its petroleum distribution capabilities domestically and throughout the region. With over four decades of experience delivering integrated mobility solutions, Petrotec offers expertise in electric and hydrogen mobility, fuel dispensing, storage systems, engineering services, and automated payment technology.
Through this collaboration, Petrotec is strategically positioned to support Angola’s vision for a more resilient and modern downstream petroleum sector, aligning technological advancement with national development goals.
