The Petroleum Training and Education Fund has unveiled its new brand identity at the inauguration of its head office building and launched its revamped website alongside PetroConnect, a digital CV repository system designed to connect Namibian professionals with opportunities in the upstream petroleum sector.
PETROFUND’s refreshed brand identity features two intertwined petroleum drops, symbolizing strong collaboration between public and private institutions and reaffirming Namibia’s commitment to developing local expertise in the upstream petroleum sector. The rebrand reflects the Fund’s core mandate of continuous skills development and capacity building.
The upgraded website enhances public access to information and streamlines communication of opportunities in a timely and user-friendly manner. Integrated Artificial Intelligence tools such as the Petrobot chatbot and a WhatsApp helpdesk ensure prompt responses to public inquiries regarding available opportunities at the Fund.
PetroConnect represents a digital evolution of PETROFUND’s CV repository system, which previously received approximately 8,500 submissions from Namibians with the skills and ambition to participate in the upstream petroleum sector. PetroConnect will function as a secure central hub for the profiles, qualifications, and experience of PETROFUND beneficiaries and aspiring oil and gas professionals, enabling petroleum industry players to efficiently identify and engage qualified Namibians.
Namibians seeking to participate in the oil and gas sector are encouraged to visit the PETROFUND website, access the PetroConnect portal, and register their profiles at no cost. Petroleum companies are required to subscribe to PetroConnect to access potential candidates for their operations.
