A 28-year-old man is expected to appear in the Magistrate’s Court in Burgersfort, Limpopo, on Monday for the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in Praktiseer.
Police Spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says the little girl was last seen playing with other children in the neighbourhood.
Police say the search by the community members ensued until the body of the little girl was found dumped in her neighbour’s yard.
The body was apparently found under a tree and covered with a T-shirt. The matter was then reported to the police and the suspect was arrested.
