Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a sharp production uptick at the Mabrouk oil field following the successful launch of a new early production unit. Operated by Mabrouk Oil Operations Company, the field is now pumping between 25,000 and 30,000 barrels per day — a significant leap that signals renewed momentum in the country’s battered oil sector.

NOC technical teams are working urgently to push combined output from the Mabrouk and Al-Jurf fields to approximately 40,000 barrels per day by the end of March 2026, in a drive to strengthen oil infrastructure and bolster the national economy.

NOC Chairman Masoud Suleiman praised the company’s board and Libyan staff for their efforts, describing their dedication as essential to the unit’s successful operation and the resulting production increase.
