Global integrated engineering firm Kent has been awarded a contract by CABGOC — Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited, a Chevron-operated joint venture — to provide Construction Management Services across the company’s operations in Angola. The award strengthens Kent’s long-standing relationship with the operator and further cements its position as a trusted project delivery partner across Africa’s upstream energy sector.

Under the contract, Kent will deliver integrated construction management services covering the supervision and coordination of on-site construction activities and field execution support across multiple technical disciplines, including mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works, fabrication, and project planning. The company will mobilise a workforce that combines substantial local presence with international project management expertise.

A key feature of the contract is its emphasis on building local capability. Kent will implement structured knowledge transfer and skills development programmes for Angolan personnel, supported by its global operational readiness training framework — an approach aimed at creating a sustainable regional workforce over the life of the project.

“Being awarded this contract by CABGOC is a testament to the strength of our relationship and our shared focus on safe, efficient project delivery,” said Iain Eddie, Executive Vice President of EMEA and APAC at Kent. “We are proud to support this project with our construction management expertise and look forward to delivering excellence while creating lasting value locally.”
