Ghana’s junior finance minister has been sacked because of corruption allegations against him linked to illegal gold mining.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has referred Charles Adu Boahen to prosecutors.
A documentary alleged that Mr Boahen had asked potential investors for $230,000 (£196,000) to give to the vice president to ensure a deal went through.
There has been no word so far from the junior finance minister.
The country’s vice-president said he was not aware of any meeting in which Mr Boahen had used his name to peddle influence.
