Africa’s largest refinery has officially launched international exports of refined petroleum products to markets across Africa, Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The announcement came from Mr. Ayirioritse Okerentie, Deputy Regional Director of Dangote Cement, during the company’s Special Day at the 36th Enugu International Trade Fair.
The product lineup currently being exported includes aviation fuel, naphtha, Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), and automotive gas oil. Additionally, the Dangote Petrochemical Complex has begun producing polypropylene, a crucial raw material for textile, plastic, furniture, and pharmaceutical industries.
Okerentie highlighted Dangote’s broader contributions to Nigerian infrastructure, including the reconstruction of critical roads such as the Obajana-Kabba Road and the Apapa-Oshodi-Oworonshoki Expressway in Lagos. The company is also reconstructing the Ibeju-Lekki Expressway using concrete, which is projected to last over 100 years.
