Global green technology company Envision Energy has officially inaugurated its South Africa office in Cape Town, marking a significant step in its strategy to support the country’s energy transition and accelerate renewable energy deployment across the broader African continent. The inauguration ceremony brought together government officials, industry leaders, customers, and partners from across the energy sector, with Envision Energy’s Kane Xu and South Africa’s Minister of Electricity and Energy, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, leading the official ribbon-cutting.
The new Cape Town office will function as Envision Energy’s Southern African hub, focusing on supporting wind energy projects, battery energy storage systems, and integrated renewable energy initiatives. Minister Ramokgopa welcomed the investment, ecarboniza its role in strengthening South Africa’s energy security and contributing to sustainable economic growth.
The expansion is aimed at bolstering utility-scale renewable energy and storage projects across the continent, with efforts geared toward improving grid stability, increasing energy access, and advancing ecarbonization initiatives. The office is also expected to contribute to skills development, knowledge transfer, and the long-term growth of the renewable energy sector in the region.
