Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has assured the people of the state of better days ahead.
He gave the assurance at the celebration of the Nation’s 62nd Independence and Nasarawa state 26th Anniversary in Lafia, the state capital.
“Let me reassure the good people of Nasarawa state that the oath I have taken to serve the people diligently, prudently, transparently and with the fear of God will continue to be the defining principles of our administration.
“I must state that in all we do, the people of Nasarawa state will be the only focus of our administration. This is my covenant with you now and in the years to come. Together we will continue to do it in 2023,” he said.
The governor equally appealed to political parties to adhere strictly to democratic ethos, rule of law and the provisions of the Electoral Act.
“I enjoin you to play politics without bitterness, because at the end of it all, we will have one Nasarawa state which we call our own,” he said.
Consequently, the governor urged the citizens to see what his administration has done in the last three years and vote him for continuity in the 2023 general election.
“I call on the people of Nasarawa state to see what this administration has done in the areas of security, economic transformation, employment generation among others.
“It will not be immodest to call on all citizens of Nasarawa state to vote the candidates of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general election for continuity and sustainable progress and development of Nasarawa state,” he said.
