Norwegian subsea service provider Argeo has successfully completed a lengthy offshore project for TotalEnergies in Namibia’s Orange Basin. Initially expected to be a shorter campaign, the $39 million contract saw Argeo Venture operating for nearly 10 months, collecting over 7,000 line kilometers of geophysical data and 200 geotechnical samples in deep waters exceeding 3,000 meters.
Despite unexpected delays due to prolonged yard work and adverse weather, Argeo Venture has now demobilized in Walvis Bay, with final wrap-up expected by March 23.
Argeo’s strong partnership with TotalEnergies continues, with a five-year framework agreement in place, extending up to seven years. This collaboration further cements Argeo’s role as a key player in offshore site investigations for the energy giant.
