As of August 8, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 12,101,718 while 358,577,872 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.
Reported deaths in Africa reached 255,983 and 10,152,573 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases of 4,006,093 and 101,982 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 1,262,622 ) , Tunisia ( 1,134,660 ), Egypt ( 515,645 ), Libya ( 505,350 ), Ethiopia ( 492,491 ), and Kenya ( 337,853 ).
