Energy and marine consultancy ABL has been appointed to provide marine warranty survey services for the Phase 4 development of the Kamose offshore gas field in the Mediterranean Sea, working on behalf of North Sinai Petroleum Company (NOSPCO). The contract marks another step in the expansion of one of Egypt’s key offshore gas assets.

Located at the eastern flank of the Nile Delta, the Kamose Phase 4 development involves the construction and installation of three new offshore production platform monopods — Hoor-1, Hoor-2, KSE-1, and Snefru-1. The plan also includes drilling three wells via wellhead platforms and laying an 11-kilometre flowline to connect production into the existing pipeline network, which will be integrated with the mobile offshore production unit already operating at the field.

Tamer Gamil, Country Manager at ABL Egypt, said the firm brings together local competence, marine experience, and engineering expertise to support the safe and optimised delivery of the transport and installation operations. ‘We look forward to supporting NOSPCO on this important development for Egyptian offshore gas,’ he added.
