Rig workers and field technicians can now log tasks from their truck cab or wellsite using voice, images, or copied text — no desk required
Mobile oilfield management platform EZOps has launched EZTasks.ai, an artificial intelligence-powered task generation feature embedded directly into its Mobile Oilfield Platform — the first in a planned series of AI-driven offerings set to roll out throughout the year.
The feature enables field personnel to generate and log tasks from any location — whether in the cab of a truck, at a wellsite, or on a lease road — without the need to be physically present at a desktop for data entry. EZTasks.ai accepts input through three methods: voice-to-text, which allows users to speak observations, issues, or instructions directly into the platform; copy and paste, which extracts and structures text from emails, messages, or reports; and file and image uploads, through which users can submit documents, photos, inspection reports, meeting notes, or field images for AI analysis and conversion into actionable tasks.
The AI-driven system centralises unstructured data sources — including images, documents, and meeting notes — improving data quality and ensuring visibility of critical field information across an organisation.
“Field teams are busier than ever, and the last thing they need is a cumbersome data entry process standing between them and the work at hand. EZTasks.ai meets workers where they are — literally. Whether someone is in their truck, at a field location or standing in front of a piece of equipment, they can now capture what they need and let the AI do the administrative work,” said Tracy Gray, Vice President of EZOps.
