I sat with Mr. Eduardo Fairen Soria, The Chairman & CEO. TAAG Angola Airlines. TAAG Angola Airlines (Linhas Aéreas de Angola) is the national flag carrier of Angola. Based in Luanda Angola. To discuss the Vision, Mission and strategic plans of the Company. He is extremely intelligent, smart and a goal getter.

We talked about the challenges and prospects of the aviation sector in Africa. How TAAG survived the Covid pandemic and several other interesting topics. Survival is key for Airlines in Africa and they need to be strong in other to survival any other challenges in the future.

Angola is strategically positioned as a regional hub to facilitate trade investment and interconnectivity in Africa.

It facilitates movement of people, goods and services across the border and promotes economic diversification with ease.

Mr. Eduardo noted that Africa is full of opportunities for investors and the continent is ready to do business.  He said TAAG has a massive expension plan which would greatly facilitate ease of doing business in Africa thereby making it easy to achieve the goals of AfCFTA.
