Wilfred Ndidi’s injury problems have continued after Leicester City said he missed Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Belgian club OH Leuven due to an ankle injury.
Ndidi missed the final months of last season after he suffered a knee injury in a UEFA Europa League clash at French club Rennes.
He needed surgery for the injury.
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers said the Super Eagles midfielder picked up an ankle injury in training in Evian.
A scan has been done and it is hoped he will return to training next week.
The previous season, he was sidelined for many months by a hamstring injury.
