New infrastructure to transport millions of tons of petroleum products
Mozambique’s President Daniel Chapo has announced a significant agreement between the governments of Mozambique and Zambia to jointly develop a $1.5 billion gas pipeline, strengthening regional energy cooperation.
The ambitious project will enable the transport of 3.5 million tons of petroleum products from Beira, Mozambique to Ndola, Zambia, and includes the construction of essential storage infrastructure in both cities.
According to President Chapo, the project is expected to be completed and commissioned within four years, marking a significant step forward in regional energy integration and security.
