In a groundbreaking development that promises to reshape Africa’s energy future, UAE-based engineering powerhouse Technomak has joined forces with Dutch solutions provider Dixstone to execute a comprehensive engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and integration agreement for Perenco’s ambitious Cap Lopez FLNG project offshore Gabon.
The landmark deal, described by industry insiders as a game-changer for the region’s gas monetization efforts, was signed in the UAE by Haxer Ali, Technomak’s Group CEO, and Michel Gotab, Dixstone Gulf’s Managing Director, with key executives from both companies in attendance.
“We are honored to be chosen by Dixstone for this impactful LNG infrastructure project. Technomak’s modular EPC capabilities will play a key role in ensuring a safe, timely, and forward-looking execution that supports the global movement toward sustainable energy,” declared Technomak’s CEO.
The ambitious Cap Lopez FLNG facility will boast an annual production capacity of 700,000 tons of LNG and 25,000 tons of LPG, with a massive storage capacity of 137,000 cubic meters in a converted gas tanker. The project is racing toward a 2026 operational target, with Dixstone set to construct and assemble the liquefaction barge in Dubai before its deployment to Gabon.
Earlier this year, Aragon, a Seatrium affiliate, secured the contract to provide cutting-edge LNG liquefaction technology for the project, further cementing its status as a showcase for next-generation floating LNG innovation.
