Kosmos Energy is progressing with development plans for its Tiberius discovery in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and is set to commence drilling offshore Ghana in May.
In the Gulf of Mexico, Kosmos aims to complete a farm-down of the Tiberius field, located in Keathley Canyon Block 964, coinciding with project sanctioning. The company is also working on a potential subsea tieback to the Occidental-operated Lucius spar platform.
Meanwhile, at the Beacon Energy-operated Winterfell development, production was restored at the Winterfell-1 and 2 wells last year. The Winterfell-3 well is expected to be operational next month, followed by drilling at Winterfell-4.
These developments underscore Kosmos Energy’s strategic investments in key offshore projects across Africa and the Gulf of Mexico.
