In Kaduna, 35 kidnapped Millennium City residents regain freedom
Three weeks after, 35 persons kidnapped at Keke B in Millennium City, Chikun Local Government of Kaduna state have regained their freedom.
A medical doctor and 15 others who were kidnapped from Sabon Gero in the same Millennium City have equally regained their freedom, according to security officials.
The victims were freed and came back to Keke B community Friday evening where they were received by hundreds of residents including relatives, friends and neighbour.
They were released three weeks after being kidnapped following the payment of N2.5 million ransom to their abductors, according to a source within the community.
The source, who seek to remain anonymous, said one of the victims is still in captivity because the bandits insisted that his family must pay for his release with two motorcycles.
The Leader of Joint Task Force (JTF), Sabon Gero Community, Uwasu Yunusa, who confirmed their release, said no ransom was paid to secure their freedom.
The doctor and 15 others including women and children were abducted few weeks back from Sabon Gero community in Millennium Cit, Chikun local government of Kaduna state.
Sabon Gero is a newly developing community in Millennium City.
