CHC Helicopter and Namibian operator Court Helicopters have signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding that promises to revolutionize search and rescue operations and crew transportation in Namibia’s rapidly expanding offshore sector.

The landmark agreement outlines plans for a strategic collaboration that will bring world-class emergency response capabilities to the region’s growing energy industry.

Under the agreement, CHC will deploy its global fleet and extensive operational expertise, while Court Helicopters contributes critical local knowledge and established operational capabilities across Namibia.

“We are thrilled to explore this opportunity with Court Helicopters, whose local expertise is unmatched,” announced Sonia Le Quilleuc, Emerging Markets Commercial Director at CHC. “CHC brings decades of experience delivering complex Search and Rescue services in some of the world’s most challenging environments, including long-term contracts across Norway, Ireland, and Australia.”

Jide Adebayo, Executive Director of Court Helicopter, called the MoU “an exciting leap forward for aviation services in Namibia,” adding that partnering with CHC allows them to leverage international experience to support vital industries across the region.

The collaboration represents a significant commitment to safety innovation and long-term investment in Namibia’s growing aviation and energy sectors.
