Egypt’s Petrojet Lands $21.76 Million Jordan LPG Infrastructure Deal
Egyptian construction specialist Petrojet has secured a substantial $21.76 million contract to develop liquefied petroleum gas storage infrastructure in Jordan’s port city of Aqaba. The project involves engineering, procurement, and construction of two spherical tanks, each with 2,000-ton LPG storage capacity, supporting Jordan’s growing energy demands.
The collaboration between Petrojet, Jordan National Shipping Lines, and Jordan Liquefied Gas Manufacturing represents a strategic move toward integrated LPG storage and distribution systems. Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company CEO Hassan Al-Hiyari highlighted the project’s role in reducing operational costs related to LPG transportation from Aqaba to consumption centers nationwide.
Operations are scheduled to commence within two years, providing critical infrastructure to support Jordan’s energy security objectives and regional distribution capabilities.
