Egypt reported 799 new coronavirus cases on Monday in a noticeable decline bringing the total infection tally officially to 369,997 since the outbreak began in February 2020.
The is the first time the Egyptian Health Ministry records officially a number of daily coronavirus cases officially less than 800 since 7 October.
The Ministry in its daily coronavirus update statement reported 44 new deaths in the past 24 hours nationwide, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 21,104.
The statement added that 1,321 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 307,926.
