Service company Dixstone and equipment supplier Technomak have formalized an Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Integration (EPCCI) agreement for Perenco’s innovative Cap Lopez floating LNG (FLNG) project offshore Gabon.

The significant contract, signed in the UAE by Haxer Ali, Group CEO of Technomak and Michel Gotab, Managing Director of Dixstone Gulf, will see Technomak construct and assemble the liquefaction barge in Dubai before its deployment to the Cap Lopez terminal.

Dixstone previously secured a construction, procurement and integration deal for the project, which is scheduled to begin operations in 2026. The Cap Lopez FLNG project has been designed to produce 700,000 tons per year of LNG and 25,000 tons per year of LPG, with storage capacity provided by a converted floating storage unit.

This development represents a significant advancement in Gabon’s energy infrastructure and highlights growing innovation in African LNG production capabilities.
