Dangote Refinery Launches Revolutionary Free Logistics Program to Transform Nigeria’s Fuel Distribution

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has unveiled an ambitious nationwide distribution initiative that will fundamentally reshape Nigeria’s fuel supply chain starting August 15, 2025.

The Lagos-based facility announced it will provide free logistics support for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and diesel distribution to marketers, petrol dealers, manufacturers, telecoms firms, aviation companies, and other major users across the country. This groundbreaking move represents a significant national initiative aimed at transforming Nigeria’s fuel distribution landscape.

To support this massive undertaking, Dangote has invested heavily in infrastructure, procuring 4,000 brand-new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered tankers. The company is also establishing CNG stations, referred to as daughter booster stations, supported by a fleet of over 100 CNG tankers nationwide to ensure seamless product distribution.

The refinery will offer attractive credit facilities to bulk purchasers, allowing those buying a minimum of 500,000 liters to obtain an additional 500,000 liters on credit for two weeks under bank guarantee. This strategic program is designed to eliminate logistics costs, enhance energy efficiency, promote sustainability, and support Nigeria’s economic development.

Key sectors including manufacturing and telecommunications are expected to benefit significantly from this initiative, as reduced fuel costs will contribute to lower production costs, reduced inflation, and foster economic growth. The program aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and reflects the company’s commitment to ensuring equitable access to affordable fuel for all Nigerians, regardless of location.
