The United States on Friday released new COVID-19 guidelines stating that only fully vaccinated persons will be allowed into the US from November 8, 2021.
The new guidelines insists that travellers into the country must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination before boarding airplanes.
The new COVID-19 travel guidelines which also pointed out that “only limited exceptions will be made to the rule, replaces the earlier announced country-country restrictions.”
In a statement, US Nigeria Mission disclosed that the country’s Centre for Disease Control (CDC) authorised only FDA approved and authorised vaccines; and vaccines listed under Emergency Use Listing (EUL) by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Describing the new guidelines as “a consistent approach,” the statement explained that by the new guidelines, travellers into the country by air will show evidence of negative COVID-19 test taken three days before their trips.
