The Republic of Congo and Venezuela have announced plans to enhance cooperation in the hydrocarbons sector, focusing on joint ventures and capacity-building initiatives.

During a meeting between Congo’s Minister of Hydrocarbons, Bruno Jean-Richard Itoua, and Venezuela’s Ambassador to Congo, Laura Evangelia Suarez, the countries discussed strategies for expanding oil and gas partnerships. The initiative builds on agreements signed during the 2023 Joint Commission in Caracas, covering multiple sectors, including hydrocarbons, air transport, and mining.
