Aquaterra Energy has signed a multi-year contract with Intrepid Energy Ltd. (IEL) to provide specialized subsea well intervention equipment for projects in Nigeria.
Under the agreement, Aquaterra will supply a comprehensive seabed-to-surface intervention system designed to facilitate maintenance and production enhancement across multiple mature oil wells. The contract, valued at several million dollars, includes not only equipment provision but also continuous offshore engineering support.
The well intervention package features a 7-3/8” lightweight well access tool, optimized for deployment from jack-up rigs and lift boats. This approach offers a cost-effective alternative to traditional floating vessels while maintaining high safety and performance standards.
