Angola is advancing its exploration and production initiatives through strategic partnerships with global energy service providers. Key projects include seismic acquisition, oilfield infrastructure development, and offshore installations, bolstering the nation’s energy sector.

Recent milestones include:

  • Seismic Reprocessing at Block 16: TGS, a leading energy data provider, has reprocessed seismic datasets in Angola’s Lower Congo Basin, enhancing imaging for deeper target evaluations.
  • New Gas Consortium for Quiluma and Maboqueiro Fields: Angola’s first non-associated gas project is progressing ahead of schedule, with offshore platforms completed in February 2025.
  • Agogo Integrated West Hub Development: Production at Block 15/06 is set to begin by late 2025, with support from service providers such as Baker Hughes, Aker Solutions, and Saipem7.
  • Deepwater Development at Block 20/11: The Kaminho deepwater project is on track for a 2028 launch, featuring a $6 billion investment in the Cameia and Golfinho fields.

Angola is actively fostering collaboration within the oil and gas industry, with the Angola Oil & Gas Conference serving as a critical platform for industry discussions and partnerships.
