Ammat Global Resources, which entered Congo’s upstream sector in July 2023, has unveiled plans to increase production by approximately 70% over the next five years as it develops the Zatchi and Loango fields.
The company’s strategy aligns with Congo’s national vision to boost oil production to 500,000 barrels per day. Their approach begins with revitalizing existing infrastructure by enhancing platform integrity and operational efficiency before launching a targeted drilling campaign.
Working closely with Congo’s Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Valorization of Gas, Ammat is also developing projects to add local value to gas production. The Loango field currently produces acid gas, while the company is utilizing gas from the Marine 12 block to supply the local market.
Ammat plans to implement the same proven strategy that has guided its success in the downstream sector for over six decades, expressing confidence that this established management model will deliver meaningful value to Congo.
