As of May 31, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 11,719,736 while 300,052,151 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.
Reported deaths in Africa reached 253,902 and 9,853,280 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases of 3,954,971 and 101,162 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 1,167,983 ) , Tunisia ( 1,042,362 ), Egypt ( 515,645 ), Libya ( 502,016 ), Ethiopia ( 472,447 ), and Kenya ( 324,859 ).
