However, APMW creates another unprecedented atmosphere that recognizes, celebrates, and honours inspirational achievers in the field of dispute resolution and all other actions that has contributed to conflict resolution and peaceful coexistence in Africa, through the African Peace Magazine Awards.

Recipients of the APM Award are women, men and corporate bodies who make outstanding contributions to “Peace Related Issues in Africa” . We select only agents of change, and those who inspire and motivate others particularly the youths.

African Peace Magazine Award Selection Process

Nominations for the recipient of the Africa Peace Magazine Award are sought widely throughout Africa and other parts of the world. Final selection of the recipient is made by the Board.

The governing principles for awarding of the Africa Peace Magazine Award are:

• Peace promotion ;
• the protection of and respect for human rights;
• peaceful settlement of disputes;
• good governance of public affairs;
• Corporate dispute resolution;
• Community based peace initiatives;
• Dispute resolutions;
• Traditional conflict resolutions and
• A host of others
