TechnipFMC has been awarded a contract by Azule Energy, the joint venture between Eni and bp, to supply flexible flowlines and risers for the Greater PAJ development offshore Angola — components that will be critical to connecting deepwater wells in depths of nearly 2,000 metres to a new floating production unit.

The contract follows Azule Energy’s recent final investment decision for Greater PAJ, which marks Angola’s first integrated cross-block development and is designed to bring five distinct fields into production through a new floating production, storage, and offloading vessel with a capacity of 95,000 barrels of oil per day. Azule is targeting first oil from the project in 2029.

The award represents a substantial step in derisking Angola’s deepwater development pipeline, with the flexible flowline systems expected to enable efficient extraction and transfer of hydrocarbons from the new wells to the FPSO as the project advances toward construction and installation.
