Shearwater Geoservices has successfully completed a 3D marine seismic survey on behalf of TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited and Matrix Energy across blocks OML 100 and OPL 2010 offshore Nigeria — a two-month programme executed in partnership with Harvex Geosolutions that combined a towed-streamer configuration with an undershoot acquisition geometry to capture high-quality subsurface data from beneath existing infrastructure.

The SW Duchess served as the primary seismic vessel on the programme, with the SW Gallien acting as the dedicated source vessel — a dual-vessel configuration designed to deliver the geometric coverage required by the towed-streamer and undershoot survey design. The survey builds on Shearwater’s growing operational footprint in Nigeria and forms part of an expanding sequence of seismic work the company has been executing across the wider West African region for major operators. CEO Irene Waage Basili said Shearwater is pleased to complete the survey, which continues the company’s strong relationship with TotalEnergies and adds to its programme of work in Nigeria and across the region. The acquisition of new 3D seismic data over OML 100 and OPL 2010 will support TotalEnergies and Matrix Energy in identifying new drilling targets, optimising field development plans, and improving resource estimates across the offshore acreage.
