At the 2025 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), Adesua Dozie, General Counsel and Secretary to the NNPC Limited Board, captured global attention as she headlined the Leadership Roundtable titled “Empowering Organisations for a Future-Ready Energy Sector.” Hosted by Aramco and moderated by KPMG, the session gathered global energy executives, legal experts, and sustainability leaders to explore strategies for corporate transformation in the evolving energy landscape.

Drawing from NNPC Limited’s restructuring journey, she highlighted how strong legal frameworks and transparent regulatory systems are essential for attracting long-term investments in Africa’s energy infrastructure. “Energy transformation is not just about technology; it’s about empowering institutions with clarity, accountability, and purpose,” she remarked.

Participants discussed how national oil companies, independent operators, and global investors can jointly accelerate low-carbon growth while ensuring energy access across developing regions. The session also touched on the balance between decarbonization commitments and the realities of Africa’s development needs.
