In a significant development for regional energy cooperation, Libya’s Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Rajab Abdussadiq, has held high-level discussions with Iran’s Minister of Petroleum to explore expanded collaboration in the oil and gas sectors. The meeting, which took place during the Gas Exporting Countries Forum’s 27th ministerial session in Doha, Qatar, focused on exchanging technical expertise to improve operational efficiency and contribute to global energy market stability.

The talks mark a strengthening of ties between the two oil-rich nations as they seek to enhance their roles in the international energy landscape. Abdussadiq also met with the Secretary-General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum to review ongoing programs and discuss Libya’s expanding role in promoting cooperation among member states while supporting sustainable development in the global energy sector.
