A socio-cultural group, the Indigenous People of the Federal Capital Territory, has lauded the appointment of Honourable Zephaniah Jisalo as the FCT coordinator for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign.
In a congratulatory message in Abuja yesterday spokesman of the group, Musa Wada, assured the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima that they were ready to take ownership of the campaigns in the territory.
They said the appointment of their son is the beginning of an era "where our cry for Abuja becoming a state would become a reality. The appointment of Hon. Jisalo two-time chairman of AMAC and two-time House of Representatives member is a step in the right direction.
"The appointment is indeed well deserving. Hon. Zaphaniah Jisalo is a round peg in a round hole whose leadership achievements are known through out the nooks and crannies of this country. The appointment is indeed a sure bet to victory come 2023 for you in the Federal Capital Territory. We are most encouraged by your leadership recruitment philosophy which recognises competence as the main consideration for making such appointment that is bestowed on one of our very own today. We assure you that our total votes are for you because of our belief that your aspiration is for the total entrenchment of a new type of politics dispensation that seeks for the people justice, peace, economic independence and above all, development in all ramifications
"We want to also use this medium to congratulate to our very own of which we are always proud, Hon.Zephaniah Jisalo, for this appointment that is well deserved, trusting and confident that he would put up his best as always to achieve and actualise the purpose he was considered for this appointment. We trust together with our support your victory for the Tinubu/Shettima ticket in the FCT is assured. Once again, accept our congratulations".
